Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: [EFFECTIVE DATE]

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") forms part of our Terms of Use and applies to everyone who uploads content to or uses the ShotFrom platform (the "Service"). It exists to keep the Service lawful, safe, and reliable.

1. Content rights and consents

You may only upload content you are entitled to use. You must ensure that:

  • you own, or have a licence to use, all floor plans and photographs you upload — including material created by third parties such as professional photographers, stylists, or draftspeople (their contracts often retain copyright, so confirm your usage rights); and
  • you have any consents required from property owners, occupiers, and any identifiable people or private property shown in the imagery.

2. Real-estate advertising obligations

You are responsible for ensuring your listings comply with all laws and professional standards applicable to real-estate advertising in your jurisdiction, including that imagery and representations are accurate and not false, misleading, or deceptive. Do not use edited or placed imagery in a way that misrepresents a property.

3. Prohibited content

Do not upload or publish content that:

  • is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or offensive;
  • infringes intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
  • contains malware, or attempts to compromise the Service or its users;
  • depicts a property, person, or location you have no authority to publish, or discloses personal information without consent;
  • is fraudulent, or advertises a property you are not authorised to market.

4. Prohibited conduct

Do not:

  • access the Service other than through the interfaces we provide;
  • scrape, crawl, reverse-engineer, or attempt to derive source code or circumvent access controls;
  • probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach its security or authentication measures;
  • share, sell, or transfer account access between offices, or resell the Service without our written consent;
  • use the Service to send spam, or use another user's account or the invite system without authority;
  • impose an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure.

5. Enforcement

We may remove content, and suspend or terminate access, where we reasonably believe this AUP has been breached — including, where practical, without prior notice if there is a risk of harm, legal exposure, or damage to the Service. We may also report unlawful activity to authorities.

6. Reporting and takedown

If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights (for example copyright in a photograph or floor plan) or otherwise breaches this AUP, contact us at [ABUSE / TAKEDOWN CONTACT EMAIL] with details of the content and your claim. We will review and act appropriately.
